For years my generation waited for a president to stand up and honor those of us that went to Viet Nam and gave up our lives for this  conflict that we were never allowed to win. We came home to jeers, and were spat upon. We were not allowed  the treatment through the VA that our service has earned us and we were entitled to, many of us are still homeless today. My own brother in law still suffers from the effects of the two attacks of AGENT ORANGE he was made to endure while there, the second coming after his return a second time (Semper Fi, what can you say). My niece suffers today with her own illnesses because of those attacks. My brother in law also suffers with PTS and was for years denied health coverage from the VA, the violence and outrage was terrible  to watch as he suffered with the demons on his own. Not to mention 35 years fighting to get his 75%  disability. He now  carry a card that says he can  easily lose his temper and is not responsible for his action because of his PTS. But this has taken years of fighting his own government more years than fighting a foreign country.

All I can say is THANK YOU PRESIDENT OBAMA FOR FINALLY (BEING THAT PRESIDENT) THANKING OUR GENERATION OF VETERANS FOR  SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY.
